Alabama: Set up your Online Filing account
When you register for a sales tax license, the Alabama Department of Revenue will also mail you a letter that contains the details you'll need to access the My Alabama Taxes (MAT) e-file website.
- This letter contains your Account ID, your Sign-on ID, and your Access Code:
You'll need to login with those details to make your Online Filing account for Alabama is fully set up in order to enroll in AutoFile.
- During the enrollment process, you'll be asked to provide 3rd party access to your My Alabama Taxes account (MAT) account and set a 3rd party password for TaxJar.
- When this happens, you'll need to login to your MAT account settings to manage 3rd party access for TaxJar and set up a 3rd party password for TaxJar's access.
