How do I contact TaxJar support?

Starter Subscribers:

  • You can email TaxJar Support at support@taxjar.com
  • You can also select the green TaxJar icon in the bottom right corner of your screen to type your question and get an immediate response from TaxJar Answers

Professional Subscribers:

  • You can contact the Professional priority email and phone support team from your TaxJar Account by clicking the "Support" link in the left sidebar.
  • You can also select the green TaxJar icon in the bottom right corner of your screen to type your question and get an immediate response from TaxJar Answers.

When can I contact TaxJar Support?

Our Starter subscription support team is here to support you via email Monday-Friday.

  • Once you submit an email request, you’ll typically receive a response within the same business day. If we’re experiencing a very busy time for sales tax, it may take us up to 2 business days to get back to you.
  • You can receive instant answers by asking TaxJar Answers.

Our Professional subscription support team is here to support you Monday - Friday.   

  • Once you submit an email request, you’ll typically receive a response within the SLA listed in your contract. 
  • You can receive instant answers by asking TaxJar Answers.

I need help regarding my account! What details should I include when I submit a request? 

To ensure that we have all of the information we need to help resolve your request as quickly as possible, please make sure you share the following details:

If your question is in regards to a specific transaction or a state sales tax calculation, please share the following details for a couple of example transactions you're referencing:

  • Order ID
  • Order Date
  • Order Total
  • Order Ship_To Address

I have a question about a return you're submitting for me with AutoFile!

If you are enrolled in AutoFile and need more time to review, adjust or ask questions about the data in your Sales Tax Report before our system AutoFiles for you,  please make sure you visit your AutoFile Dashboard and PAUSE your filing while waiting for a response to your support request.

  • We show you How to PAUSE a Filing here.
  • Please be aware that if you do not pause your filing, your return may be AutoFiled before we are able to respond to your support inquiry.
  • The system allows returns to be paused for a limited window of time each month and once that window closes, we will not be able to make changes to your Report data before AutoFile files your return.
