How to contact TaxJar

Before you contact us
So we can help you as quickly and effectively as possible, please gather:
- Your TaxJar account email address. From your TaxJar Dashboard, click on the Account menu and select Business Profile to view the email address associated with your TaxJar account. This information is especially important if you contact us via a different email address.
- A detailed description of your question/concern. The more information you can provide about your specific issue, the better! For example, if you need assistance with a certain transaction or sales tax calculation, you might include:
- Order ID
- Order Date
- Order Total
- Order Ship_To Address
- Screenshots or other attachments, if relevant. (Here's how to take a screenshot.)
How and when can I contact TaxJar support?
Starter subscribers:
- Email TaxJar Support at support@taxjar.com between 8AM - 7PM CST Monday through Friday.
- You can expect to receive an email response within two business days (48 hours from when the email was sent).
Professional subscribers:
- Contact the support team between 8AM - 7PM CST Monday through Friday from your TaxJar Account by clicking the Support link in the left sidebar.
- You can expect to receive an email response within one business day (24 hours from when the email was submitted).
- Phone support is available for Professional subscribers on the 1K plan tier or higher:
- To request a call, simply send an email to support@taxjar.com with the subject line "Request a call" and include your name, phone number, best time of day for TaxJar to call, and the reason for your call.
- Call requests will be returned within one business day (24 hours from when the request was submitted), unless the outreach falls over the weekend.
How can I receive prioritized phone or email support?
If you’d like access to phone support, you can directly upgrade to a Professional plan within your TaxJar Account Plan & Billing page of your TaxJar account.
I have a question about a return you're submitting for me with AutoFile.
If you are enrolled in AutoFile and need more time to review, adjust or ask questions about the data in your Sales Tax Report before our system AutoFiles for you, please make sure you visit your AutoFile Dashboard and PAUSE your filing while waiting for a response to your support request.

- Please be aware that if you do not pause your filing, your return may be AutoFiled before we are able to respond to your support inquiry.
- The system allows returns to be paused for a limited window of time each month and once that window closes, we will not be able to make changes to your Report data before AutoFile files your return.
