What's my Payment Schedule?
- This is the filing frequency assigned to you by the Ohio DOR.
- If you're not sure of this detail for your account, you can contact the state's DOR and them to confirm this detail for you. (We list contact details for the states here.)
What's my
State Registered Business Name?
- This is the business name you provided to the state when you registered for your sales tax license.
- It should be listed on your sales tax registration paperwork.

OH State Tax ID?
- This is the 8 digit state certificate number you received from the state when you registered for your sales tax license (no dashes)

State Passcode?
- These are the details used to login to your e-file account at the Ohio Business Gateway website.

First Filing Period?
- Pending successful verification, the period listed here is the estimated first filing period TaxJar will file.
- The First Filing period is based on the date the enrollment form is saved and the payment schedule.
Is there anything else I need?
You will need to grant access to your Ohio Business Gateway account to TaxJar
- Log into your Ohio state account
- Once logged in, select Account Settings
- Select 2-Step Verification
- Select Add new method +
- Select Email and New email
- Add filing@taxjar.com as the additional email address
- Select Send access code
- You should receive a Multi-Factor Authentication prompt to send a security code via text or email
- Once you receive the MFA text or email, enter the security code in the on-screen prompt and click submit
- If your code was input successfully, you will see UPDATE COMPLETE!
- Securely log out
