What tax rate is used for the calculations in my dashboard?

If you've connected carts such as Amazon, Shopify, or PayPal that have built-in sales tax collection functionality, the rates you see in your Actual Sales Tax Collected Reports are based on the rates you set up inside of your cart's tax settings.

If you're using the TaxJar API or a plugin or extension that is powered by the TaxJar API (like our Woocommerce plugin and Magento extension) the rates you collect will be based on the rates calculated by our API. These rates are updated each month to make sure you're collecting the most up-to-date rates.
