How do I export and import my sales tax rates in Magento 1 with a CSV?

Magento 1 is no longer supported. New Magento 1 account connections will no longer be supported, please use the Magento 2 integration. Learn more about this here. 

Exporting your rates

  1. From your Magento admin page, head to Sales > Tax > Import / Export Tax Rates
  2. Click the Export Tax Rates button
  3. A spreadsheet of your rates will begin downloading
  4. You can then save and view the file in your spreadsheet software

Importing your rates

  1. From your Magento admin page, head to Sales > Tax > Import / Export Tax Rates
  2. Click the Browse button and choose the CSV file containing your rates.
  3. Click Import Tax Rates. (This may take several minutes. A message will appear once the import is complete: “The tax rate has been imported”)
  4. You can confirm your rates have imported successfully from Stores > Taxes > Tax Zones and Rates.
